No public value without a valued public

This study aims to enlighten the controversial discussion about the term public value in an innovative way. Instead of normative pronouncements and paternalistic posits, this study combines a theoretical, literature-based conception with an empirical quantitative approach. For this, the key term, public value, is split into its constituent parts of customer value and citizen value and is transformed into measurable attributes. By means of a choice-based conjoint analysis on panel data for Germany and the United Kingdom, we explore which performance attributes of public service broadcasters are the most important. Based on the results, we create a conception of public value from the perspective of the license fee payers as the main stakeholder of public service broadcasters. Our findings may unlock existing potential to increase our understanding of what is meant by the term public value.  相似文献

审视中国古代镖局中镖师武术的技术特征、传承传播、发展演变，能够再现早期武术发展状况，丰富武术历史研究内容，还可总结历史经验，为新时代推广武术、弘扬武术文化提供借鉴。运用文献资料法和历史分析法，就镖局对清末民初武术发展之推动作用进行分析。认为，镖局是实现武术功能职业化转型的重要组织，推动了武术的顺时代创新演变，开辟了多元的武术传播途径，稳固了师徒传承方式，推动了武术价值的多元化发展，促进了暗器、轻功等罕见武技的深造与传承，为“以武报国”提供了重要的物力支撑。  相似文献

学术论文研究亮点的语言学特征与分布规律研究

[目的/意义] 论文出版过程中，若能够合理有效地呈现出一篇学术论文的核心观点，不仅可以大大减少科研人员在查找和筛选文献上花费的时间，而且有助于阅读与理解。[方法/过程] 通过标注385篇XML格式期刊论文，构建了研究语料库，再利用关键词分析法对亮点的语言学特征进行分析，借助自然语言处理算法探索亮点的分布特征。[结果/结论] 亮点是一组规范的、语义明确的短句的集合，是一篇学术论文与其他论文相比较的新观点、新视角、新方法、新思路、新结果、新结论等内容的体现。亮点具有新颖性、简明性、易读性、"宣传"性等特点。亮点分为研究创新型亮点、研究方法型亮点、研究过程型亮点与研究结论型亮点，本文发现了亮点在正文和各章节的分布情况。  相似文献

大型赛事赞助、网络关注度与企业市场价值--2018年俄罗斯世界杯中国赞助商实证研究

企业赞助大型体育赛事目的是为了提升企业的市场价值,针对多家中国企业赞助2018年俄罗斯世界杯的事件,用事件研究方法考察了企业签约赞助和开赛日2个阶段股票价格的异常收益波动,并用百度指数研究了网络关注度对异常收益的影响关系。研究发现,中国企业赞助俄罗斯世界杯,在签约事件窗口内企业获得正向的市场绩效,而在开赛日事件窗口内企业获得负向的市场绩效。百度指数与股票异常收益的关系,说明网络关注度对事件影响产生催化剂的作用。研究结果表明,企业赞助大型赛事需要注重短期和长期的效果,注意防止过度炒作,并要积极采用营销组合的手段扩大赞助带来的影响和收益。  相似文献   

Sustaining What is Valuable: Contours of an Educational Language About Values

Making liberal democratic values meaningful to study in schools is a more complex issue than being a question of turning values into explicit educational goals (Schleicher) or of curing a motivational deficit (Critchley). Since values seem to play an important role in the practices and commitments of people's everyday lives, values are calling for a continual refinement of our words in relation to the world (Laverty). The purpose of this article is to offer contours of an educational language about values that acknowledges this refinement and the pedagogical work that teachers might do—by way of language—in order to sustain the living-on of what is valued and valuable to us as individuals and as societies. To this end, the article is divided into two parts. The first part takes the temperature of the current political and educational debates, offering thereby a sociopolitical background to the need of a renewed language about values. Drawing on ordinary language philosophy (Moi, Murdoch and Forsberg) and the idea that there is an intimate relationship between how we look at the world (attention) and the words we use in describing it (language). The second part of the article places the emergence of values in a particular time in history before suggesting a more existential vocabulary about values for the purpose of teaching values in schools.  相似文献   

Understanding the overvaluation of facial trustworthiness in Airbnb host images

Renting a property via a peer-to-peer platform involves a variety of risks. Humans inherently, subconsciously use facial cues as important shortcuts in making assessments about other persons. On property sharing platforms, such as Airbnb, facial cues can be used in a similar fashion alongside reputational information. According to Dangerous Decisions Theory (DDT), intuitive evaluations of trustworthiness based on faces can bias subsequent assessment of an individual, requiring further information sources to make a more balanced assessment. In this study we apply DDT to demonstrate that evaluations based on perceived facial trustworthiness are overvalued; when combined with reputational measures, such as ‘super host’ status, such assessments are diminished. The study is based on deep learning to classify host faces for a large data set of online accommodation (n = 78,386). The research demonstrates that facial trust cues in online platforms should be treated with caution and must be combined with more objective measures of reputation in order to reduce the effects of overvaluation.
